The Israeli medical device company, which develops air filtration systems that remove airborne viruses and bacteria, received regulatory approval after announcing that its system had successfully passed initial tests in its facilities in California, achieving 99.99% efficiency in removing viruses, such as SARS VOC-2 version, in confined spaces. The company presented the results of its tests to the Medical Equipment Unit of the Ministry of Health last week and received confirmation of its approval today.
The company plans to use the test results and its ministerial approval to begin marketing its air filtration system to institutional entities in Israel. He believes that the Ministry of Health’s approval will give him an advantage when competing to provide systems to the ministries of health and education.
Aura Smart issued a statement noting that in January, the Department of Health created a committee to locate possible technological solutions for air disinfection in confined spaces. A call for proposals was launched and the ministry examined 27 different technological solutions proposed by companies to treat air in confined spaces. The committee decided that the Aura Smart system met the criteria required to become a recommended product capable of purifying the air in such spaces.
