Israeli taxi company Metro Kav has won a tender from the Israeli Ministry of Transport to operate its fleet of taxis with unique disinfection technology to minimize exposure to coronavirus (Covid-19) pathogens. He plans to deploy the ADS3000 self-cooling filtration system after a successful three-month pilot project. It is the first air filtration system of its kind to disinfect viruses and bacteria that can be installed inside air conditioning ducts. It will be deployed on shared taxis in central Israel, in the cities of Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, Holon and Rishon Lezion.

The company has developed smart filters that can be placed in existing vehicle air conditioners, with a smart algorithm that alerts the driver when the filter needs to be replaced. The system can also be controlled by remote control.

“We are committed to ensuring the smooth movement of the lines we operate for our passengers and have looked at a lot of advanced technology over the past year, assuming that we will all have to learn to live with the coronavirus during some time yet. , ”

Ilan Zikri, CEO of Metro Kav, said.

“Our goal is to make this system accessible worldwide to facilitate its adoption in all modes of transport,” said Ziv Farber, CEO of Auto-Cool, adding that laboratory tests of the filters have shown an efficiency of 100% to successfully remove coronavirus pathogens and other bacteria from the air.
