TORONTO, January 10, 2022 /CNW/ – As parents and educators wait to resume in-person learning with relief and concern, provinces are scrambling to distribute N95 masks to staff, improve ventilation and limit extracurricular activities. But one company offers what many parents and teachers need to feel safe: transparency.

“Aerosol droplets caused by sneezing, coughing, singing or even speaking can float in the air for over 30 minutes, and our system sucks in and removes airborne viruses at extremely high power. high,” said Yehuda Ordower, managing partner of Aura Canada, the first air filtration and disinfection system clinically proven to kill the coronavirus that also comes with a unique monitoring system.

A customizable dashboard helps multi-site facilities monitor their Aura Air units simultaneously. “We believe parents, schools and school boards will feel safer in school with a system that is accessible in real time and from anywhere,” Ordower said.

The technology uses a four-step purification process to filter and treat airborne pathogen droplets. It is already in use at educational institutions in many countries, including 70 units at Trent University and five units at the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada; 1,000 housing units in municipal and school buildings in Massachusetts, in the USA; 62 units at the Church of England School in the UK; and units in over 700 classrooms Israel.

In Australia and in the UK, Aura Air devices are used on buses. If used on school buses in Canada, this can be another meaningful way to provide parents with additional transparency about indoor air quality to and from school.

Two independent American studies and Israel confirmed that the Aura Air system kills 99.99% of airborne COVID-19 in the test facility within 60 minutes. The studies were conducted by Innovative Bioanalysis Laboratories in California Silicon Valley and Sheba Medical Center. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Sheba Medical Center, one of Top 10 clinical hospitals in the world, has also used Aura Air in its COVID-19 wards and staff rooms.

Aura Air is also used by the Vogue Hotel and private RBC offices at Place Ville Marie in Montreal; the Edmonton Elks locker room in alberta; the locker rooms of the PGA Golf Club at Florida, and several large hotels in the United States; Ambulance in Poland; and the Royal Palace of Spain.
